Jackalope, Mornington Peninsula
Kick start 2018 at the award-winning Mornington Peninsula Hotel, Jackalope in this luxurious black-tie event. It's all about food and wine, free flowing champagne, DJs and a live band under the hotel's 10,000 globe chandelier. Kensington Street Social, Sydney
To celebrate the New Year, Kensington Street Social will be hosting an exotic seafood set dinner menu. There's champagne on arrival with guests encouraged to celebrate in The Clare Bar with festive inspired cocktails after their meal. $120 per head
Grey Goose Rooftop Party, Crown Melbourne
A Cote D'Azure themed rooftop party at Crown Melbourne is a sure bet for best view of the Melbourne's fireworks this New Year's Eve. The menu is designed by Guillaume Brahimi, and free flowing Veuve Clicquot and Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz cocktails all round. The French themed party mixes the best in glamour, features top DJs and if you're on the hunt for a sophisticated way to welcome 2018, this could be your ticket. Starts 8pm. $395 per person.
NYE at Pier One
Pier One Sydney Harbour promises guests a world class view of the fireworks display this New Year's Eve with a focus on pop-up eatery and drink stations as well as DJs spinning the tunes all night long. Feast on seafood paella, Kerrigan mini-burgers, and pork bao buns as well as oyster bars and cheese and charcuterie grazing tables all round. Drinks come included in the price with pop-up bars offering Absolut and Havana rum cocktails, craft beers, and Chandon sparkling. This is an over 18 event only. $495 per person.
The folks at Catalina Sydney are offering an early bird dinner on New Year's Eve from 6pm ($150 per head) with a set menu while a later dining time of 8.30pm ($275 per head) is the prime place to be for viewing the spectacular Sydney fireworks at midnight. Bookings must be made in advance. The Rose Bay stalwart also hosts the hottest New Year's Day party with flowing bubbles and all the cool kids – if you can get a ticket.
The Langham, Southbank
The luxurious Chairman Suite at the Langham in Melbourne can accommodate up to five guests – priced at $7000 for the evening and is still up for grabs. It comes with afternoon tea in the hotel's exclusive club lounge, evening drinks and canapés – we suggest the bottomless glass of Chandon to ring in the New Year and a decadent breakfast the following morning. It's a great place to watch the fireworks with nobody in your way.
Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley
If you prefer to more low-key celebrations, head to Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley. There's New Year's Eve celebrations with live music and free flowing champagne and food and you can enjoy the pristine environment with a clean and green hike on New Year's Day followed by breakfast. Chime in with a BBQ in true Aussie style and a wildlife and sundowner tour with insight into the native flora and fauna at dusk.
Portside Sydney Opera House

New Year's Eve Dinner at The Westin, Melbourne
If you're planning a night in the city, begin it at The Westin – offering a four-course degustation dinner in Allegro Restaurant with canapes and Moet and Chandon champagne on arrival. You can dine between 5.30-9.30pm and then join the others for the countdown on the Allegro outdoor terrace following dinner with a complimentary glass of champagne served as the clock strikes 12. $100 per person.
The Golden Age of Hollywood
Ring in the New Year in this themed event at the top of the Rialto where you can dress in glamorous costume, put on the ritz and celebrate Hollywood's Golden Age in Melbourne. There's unlimited champagne, wine, basic spirits and themed cocktails. There will also be light and substantial canapes served throughout the evening with an impressive dessert station to close the night. From 8pm-1am.

A pink themed party that urges you to bring velvet and glitter to salute the New Year at the Arbory. The location has prime views of the fireworks at Kings Domain, Treasury Gardens and the city skyline. Executive Chef Nick Bennett has created a menu of oysters and champagne stations, seafood paella and roving canapes of steak tacos and salsa, seared scallops, mini burgers and desserts and more. It's all premium beer, craft varieties and an endless wine list. DJ Mugen will entertain while the ticketed event goes from 7-1am. $210 per head.
