Ten books runners need to read

Sometimes it's not enough to just run. You find yourself thinking about it, talking about it, dreaming about it and reading about it.

I have a pile of books from all genres sitting on my bedside table that I'm yet to read, but somehow I still find myself standing in front of the health and fitness section of the airport bookshop scanning the book spines for a running-related read.

The rise in popularity of running in recent years means there are loads of books to choose from. There are how-to guides on running your first half marathon, recipe books to fuel your runs, and inspiring real-life accounts by famous runners.

Whether you're looking for a story to inspire you to push past your limits or a helpful book to improve your technique, these titles will give you something to ponder as you chase that runner's high.
