The Goodwood Festival of Speed is held on the grounds of the Goodwood House in West Sussex, England every summer.
Each year it brings together some of the world's largest and best known automakers to show off — and sometimes debut — their most impressive vehicles.
Even Formula 1 racing stars are known to attend the event.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, Goodwood featured “the biggest, best, fastest, loudest and most outrageous vehicles of all time”.
One star was the new Bentley Continental GT3 race car, with the race-ready two-door having been stripped of more than 1000 kilograms of weight.
It now tips the scales at less than 1300kg, or less than a current-generation Mazda3.
Bentley will begin racing the car later this year - with Ford rally team M-Sport running the car - to test its speed and reliability before customers take delivery in 2014.
The GT3 spec car will be eligible to race in the Australian GT Championship and the Bathurst 12 Hour, but there is no word yet on any local buyers.
